Agarwood
Gyrinopus valla or Vallapatta, a plant species native to Sri Lanka, is a plant of great economic value.A naturally occurring adhesive species called agarwood is highly fragrant and a very expensive plant ingredient species
So far, 102 plants have been discovered in the world and one of the most expensive plant ingredients.With very little production between 2% and 7%, this adhesive species is one of the most popular herbal ingredients among perfume manufacturers in Europe.
So far, 102 vallapatta plants have been discovered in the world, of which 33 have been registered as genera.
The most important genus is the Thymalasi genus and three varieties have been created for that genus.

These three varieties are cultivable varieties, and Gyrinopus valla or Vallapatta plant is common in the wet zone forests of Sri Lanka.
About 300 years ago, this plant was commercially cultivated in countries like India, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, Singapore and exported to western and Middle Eastern countries of the world and earned a huge foreign exchange.
Agarwood resin produced by the aqualaria plant produces a large number of products, including agarwood oil, agarwood drank, agarwood perfumes, creams, chandeliers, bakoor green tea.
